For the second straight year, we have "Bill Lazor leaving" rumors circling around the UVa football program.
Last year, it was a flirtation with the NFL. This year, the Cavalier offensive coordinator has interviewed for the head coaching job at Georgia State, a program that is joining the Sun Belt Conference next season.
The Panthers finished the 2012 season 1-10 under the retiring Bill Curry. According to a source with knowledge of the situation, Georgia State is expected to hire "soon." Other candidates that have been linked to this position include Virginia Tech running backs coach Shane Beamer and Sam Houston State coach Willie Fritz.
If Lazor should go, it would mark the second change to Virginia's staff this week. Running backs coach Mike Faragalli was relieved of his duties on Monday.
For an offense that had its ups and downs this season, would a change at the top be a good thing?
