l A regional business partnership led by the Thomas Jefferson Partnership for Economic Development has introduced Business First, a new business retention software program. The program will connect local businesses to resources, help businesses plan for future growth and open a productive dialogue between businesses and localities that can reduce barriers to business success.
l A new Tropical Smoothie Café is offering coupons for those who give blood. The café is scheduled to open this week in the Rio Hill Shopping Center and has donated 2,000 coupons for free smoothies to Virginia Blood Services. Donors who give blood this month will get a coupon while they last.
