"So Careless'' is in the Helms Theatre at 8 tonight, Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Grissom, director Marianne Kubik and the cast will participate in post-show discussions on Tuesday and again on March 28. The play can be seen through March 29.
The play focuses on three strong women and the family ties that both bind them together and tug them apart.
Hester, in her late 20s, seems to have given up in her battle to control her life and basically lives as a prisoner. Her teen sister, Berkeley, a rebellious girl, returns to the scene and sends the tension level soaring. Their mother, Meg, keeps trying to keep the peace. A childhood friend who arrives to help Hester stirs up memories that offer insights into a troubled family tree.
Audience members arriving for "So Careless'' can be among the first patrons to use the new Arts Grounds Parking Garage, which is adjacent to the Drama Building.
The new garage can be reached from Rugby Road or University Avenue, and parking is free after 5 p.m. on performance nights.
Tickets are $14, $12 for seniors and $8 for students. For details, call 924-3376.
