Authorities are continuing to investigate an incident Tuesday in which two men were shot inside a minivan speeding down Fairway Avenue.
Charges have not been filed in the case, city spokesman Ric Barrick said Friday afternoon.
Barrick also said that one of the wounded men remains in critical condition at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
The second wounded man was treated and released from the hospital. A third occupant of the minivan, a woman, injured her ankle in the incident, though not from a gunshot wound.
None of the three occupants’ identities has been released.
“Investigators from the Charlottesville Police Department are continuing to fully investigate this matter to verify the precise circumstances of the incident,” Barrick said in a statement. “As further details develop, more information will be released.”
