Regarding the letter headlined “World hoping for Obama victory,” published on Oct. 3 in The Daily Progress:

To me, the most interesting part of the letter was the author’s conversation with a group of young men in Kenya who had asked “... some very informed questions about Ameri- can policy and Barack Obama.”

When those Kenyans were asked where they got their news, they smiled and replied, “CNN! And, Al Jazeera.”

Shouldn’t we be concerned about the media biases that shaped the opinions of this supposedly well-informed group of men?

Are these examples of people outside America who should influence our voting decisions?
