Mental illness focus of prayer service

An interfaith prayer service in conjunction with the National Day of Prayer for Mental Illness Awareness Recovery and Understand-ing will take place Tuesday in Charlottesville.
The prayer service will be held from noon to 12:30 p.m. at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Church on Rugby Road.
The event is sponsored by Charlottesville’s faith communities and Mental Health America (formerly the National Mental Health Association), a nonprofit dedicated helping people live healthier and happier lives.
