The wreck at U.S. 29 and Ridgewood Drive has been cleared. Police have identied the person killed in the crash as Sydney Aichs, 16, an Albemarle High School student. Our sympathies to her family and friends.

Construction

2000 block of Angus Road: Westbound lane closed for waterline work. Flaggers will be present to maintain traffic flow.

i>I-64 westbound at mile marker 108: Left lane closed. About 11 miles west of Charlottesville, the lane will be closed 24 hours, seven days a week until June 2008.

Earlysville Road at the airport: Paving project. Flagmen will direct traffic.

U.S. 250 Bypass from Park Street to Locust Avenue: One lane will close in each direction. Closures begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 3 p.m. for bridge inspections.
