Police searching for robbery suspect

Charlottesville police are searching for a man who robbed a woman at gunpoint around 3 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Prospect Avenue.
The robber — described as a 5-foot 8-inch, 185-pound black male wearing a black do-rag, a black T-shirt and dark jeans — burst into the woman’s home and waved a semi-automatic pistol in her face.
The victim handed over some cash and the stick-up man escaped. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Crimestoppers at 977-4000.
