PVCC plans info sessions for prospective students

Piedmont Virginia Community College will host a series of free information sessions to introduce potential students to the college’s high-tech and health-care offerings.
The series kicks off at 6 p.m. Monday with a session titled Electronics Technology and Computer-Aided Drafting and Design. The seminar will be held in the technology wing of PVCC’s main building in Room 833. For more information, call 961-5347 or e-mail bus&techdiv@pvcc.edu.
The second session, Health Information (Medical) Coding, offers a look at an in-demand profession at area hospitals, nursing homes and other medical facilities. It will be held at 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Aug. 9 and at 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Aug. 21 in Room 881 at PVCC’s main building. For more information, call 961-5266 or e-mail .
The third and final seminar will focus on Piedmont’s degree and certificate programs for computer science, engineering, information technology, computer-aided drafting and design and electronics.
