Fluvanna County authorities said a woman who went missing Saturday afternoon returned home that night unharmed.

A Fluvanna County woman with a medical condition is missing, according to authorities who expressed concern about her well-being.

The regional transit service JAUNT will start a new evening today and Saturday service this weekend in Fluvanna County. 

On Friday, members of the Rotary Club of Fluvanna County filled several Wal-Mart shopping carts with binders, notebooks, paper, pencils and other school supplies destined for 54 elementary school students in need.

Virginia State Police identified the woman as Meghan Bryenn Smith, of Old Ridge Lane in Palmyra. Troopers said she was westbound on Route 620 at about 6:40 a.m. in a 1996 Honda Civic when the car went off the right side of the road. Smith, who was not wearing a seatbelt and was not ejected from the car, died at the scene.

Mark Wayne Shifflett and Ronald Lee Morris will remain in Central Virginia Regional Jail on felony charges of possession of cocaine and unlawfully possessing a firearm after being convicted of a felony.
