As Fluvanna County and Louisa County officials look at plans to bring in water from the James River to Zion Crossroads, a consulting group is scheduled to give presentations to residents in the next two weeks.
The Timmons Group was hired to evaluate the most feasible and cost effective way to provide water from the James to the Zion Crossroads area, according to a news release. The presentations will include an overview of the project and its cost; recommendations for water lines; the location of a treatment plant;, and how the ownership and management structure would work.
Fluvanna County will have two meetings:
- Thursday, at the Lake Monticello Clubhouse, 41 Ashlawn Boulevard in Palmyra.
- April 22, at Beaverdam Baptist Church, U.S. 250 at the intersection of Route 600.
Louisa County will also have two meetings:
- April 23, at the Betty Queen Intergenerational Center, 522 Industrial Drive.
- April 24, at the same location.
