Heavy rain from the past few days has forced the closure of Route 651 in Louisa County because of high water, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The closed section, near the Orange County line, is in a low-lying area that floods frequently after heavy rain causes Lake Anna water levels to rise, VDOT spokesman Lou Hatter said.
“Usually it takes a day or two to go down,” Hatter said of the flooded road Tuesday evening.
