I noticed in the news that our guys in Washington, D.C., have decided to bail out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mortgage companies. Who knew? ’Most everybody I know thought that those organizations were government. Not so. They are privately owned corporations.
After realizing what it takes to qualify for this easy bail-out program, I have decided that I am more than qualified to get bailed out myself. I must admit, I have made really bad business decisions just like Fannie and Freddie did. I loaned money to some people that didn’t have but two chances of paying it back: slim and none. One was a guy who got laid off and was going to be evicted soon, another was a single mom who needed to get out of jail on a charge of driving on a suspended license, so she wouldn’t lose her job.
As you can see, all bad deals. So now I need Washington’s help. I need a bailout loan, too. I’m sure there won’t be any problem.
