City employees kept summer fun

On behalf of the children and teachers of Congregation Beth Israel Preschool, I wanted to offer a special thank you to the Charlottesville employees at the Downtown Transit Center, the lifeguards Forest Hills Wading Pool and the Charlottesville Transit Service bus drivers.
As our group of 40 little ones traveled around town this summer for splashes at the pool, we were grateful for the kindness of all those who helped us in so many small ways. We were touched by the creative problem solving of the bus drivers when we arrived at the station just as the bus had pulled away. We were thrilled with the enthusiasm and flexibility of the lifeguards and the commitment they showed to making our pool visits a blast.
Thank you, city employees, for all you do!
