Re: a the letter to the editor of May 31 (“Prince William’s actions honorable,” The Daily Progress): I too “celebrate” what Prince William County has done in regard to illegal immigration.
According to a story quoted in the letter, an expert draws the conclusion that “the policy could end up tainting the county’s image and scaring off investors” — by enforcing the law! How silly!
Although the reason was different for the Russians to build the Berlin Wall, as a former GI who did his tour in Berlin, Germany, I always think of that when I hear about us building “the fence” we are building to keep out illegal immigrants.
How silly — not to mention the fact that we don’t have the money to afford the huge cost.
