The political cartoon published in The Daily Progress, July 19 reaches a new low in tastelessness.
I am aware that caricatures usually exaggerate physical characteristics of their subjects, but I fail to see how this monstrosity, which I assume is intended to represent President Bush, serves any useful purpose.
Not only does it bear no resemblance to him, but it is so sickeningly grotesque as to portray deep disrespect and possibly outright hatred of our president. This kind of garbage is intolerable to those of us who greatly respect this man and the office that he holds.
