Thank forefathers — and thank God

It is time to give pause to understand what liberty means to most Americans.

John Quincy Adams said, “Posterity, you will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it.”

That sentiment echoes through each generation of Americans. Liberty has come as a tremendous cost to preserve our lives and family values and freedoms. When we learn of our American forefathers history and the struggles they endured to preserve our liberty for future generations, we should thank them and God.
