The Waynesboro truck driver indicted in the May 9 crash that killed 16-year-old Sydney Aichs turned himself in Thursday, police said.

Albemarle County police have not yet identified the driver of a Geo Metro who died in a fiery crash after leading police on a high-speed chase May 26.

Fiery crash kills 19-year-old

Virginia State Police identified the woman as Meghan Bryenn Smith, of Old Ridge Lane in Palmyra. Troopers said she was westbound on Route 620 at about 6:40 a.m. in a 1996 Honda Civic when the car went off the right side of the road. Smith, who was not wearing a seatbelt and was not ejected from the car, died at the scene.
