Entering the world of Thomas Jefferson will be less expensive during the month of June.

Monticello has selected a new leader for the first time in more than 20 years, the Thomas Jefferson Foundation announced Thursday.

In preparation for Monticello’s new visitors center that is expected to open in November, officials are closing the old center that sits off Route 20 in Albemarle County and dismantling the exhibition.
