In stark contrast to a hearing a year ago, the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors heard plenty of praise Wednesday for a Soccer Organization of Charlottesville-Albemarle project that would allow it to expand soccer facilities and be a boon for area sport enthusiasts.

Charlottesville High School is one step closer to finding a replacement for longtime football coach Garwin DeBerry.

The Albemarle Board of Supervisors should approve a much-anticipated soccer facility for the Soccer Organization of Charlottesville-Albemarle, the county Planning Commission unanimously recommended Tuesday.
