He’s been glorified by Grammy voters and loved by listeners. Now Bruce Springsteen is scintillating to scholars.

The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank Network will be the charitable beneficiary of Bruce Springsteen’s April 30 concert at the John Paul Jones Arena.
The food bank will benefit from the sale of four concert tickets donated by Spring-steen to be auctioned online by Charity Folks, a marketplace for nonprofit fundraising, corporate cause-marketing campaigns and celebrity-driven initiatives. The auction is open for bids and can be found at http://www.brafb.org or http://www.charityfolks.com/bruce.
Anybody can contribute to Springsteen’s hunger-fighting cause by donating online to the “Bruce Springsteen: Serving Up Magic” virtual food drive at http://www.brafb.org. That drive begins Monday and will continue through May 3.
