The Daily Progress has learned that Tunji Soroye will return for a fifth season.
The 6-foot-11 center from Nigeria will receive the scholarship that became available when forward Will Harris recently transferred to Albany.
According to a source close to the situation, center Lars Mikalauskas has been kicked off the team.
“There are standards to be a member of this basketball program and Laurynas has not lived up to those standards,“ said Virginia coach Dave Leitao through a press release. The coach said he would not have further comment on the matter.

In a small town like Charlottesville, eventually the “standards” that Lars Mikalauskas didn’t live up to will come to light.
It will be interesting to find out what these are.
I hope Leitao didn’t just release him to free up a scholarship. Was Mikalauskas 100% healthy to play this year? I know he’s had health problems with injuries in the past?
