James "Mickey" Woodward James "Mickey" Woodward, 70, of Orange, left this world of pain and suffering to live a wonderful glorious pain free life with the Lord on Friday, October 4, 2013. Mickey was born on February 14, 1943, to the late James and Esther Woodward in Madison, Virginia. Mickey was retired from Rappahannock Electric Company, where he worked for 30 years. He was a member of New Hope Pentecostal Church in Stanley, Virginia. Mickey was an awesome dad and hard worker. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting with his son, spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Mickey always had a good time whether he was making jokes with people or just spending time with them. Mickey was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Woodward; his father, James Woodward; his step mother, Ella Adamson; two sisters, Elizabeth Dowell and Lorriane Wood; two brothers, Wallace Woodward and Jim Martz; and a great-grandchild, Lathan Aguilar. Mickey leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Virginia Frances Woodward; one son, Ronnie Woodward and wife, Rhonda, of Madison; four daughters, Tammy Woodward of Fredrick, Maryland, Jamie Penton and husband, Robert, of Orange, Brenda Woodward of Madison, and Tina Mathews of Strasburg, Virginia. He leaves behind seven grandchildren, James "Scotty" Woodward, Candice Mena, Nicole "Nikki" Woodward, Brittney Woodward, Cara Jackson, Christina Bateman, and Jacob Woodward. He also leaves behind four great- grandchildren, Kali Early, Iseal Mena, Lyncoln Woodward, and Jayden Beahm. He is also survived by a brother, David Shifflett of Forest Lakes; four sisters, Irene Dudley of Ruckersville, Ruby Woodward of Fluvanna, Peggy Gregory of Chase City, Virginia, and Barbara Puckett of Ohio. The funeral service was held 2 p.m. Tuesday October 8, 2013, at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison, with interment in Madison Memorial conducted by Randy Miller and Mike Reynolds. Pallbearers were James Woodward, Jacob Woodward, Hugh McGhee, Jesse Edwards, Lonnie Thomas, and Don White. Mickey. We are not saying goodbye, just see you later and Love you and God Bless.
