The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office reported several arrests stemming from a drug raid.
About two months ago, the Sheriff’s Office received complaints about alleged drug dealing at a home on Rainbow Drive in the Arrington area of Nelson, Sheriff David Brooks said in a release.
An investigation led to the raid of the home Friday, after which four were arrested:
l Pierre Quinton Bynum, 23, of Arrington. He faces charges of drug possession and distribution, as well as marijuana possession and manufacture;
l Ivette Leonore Bynum, 20, of Arrington. She faces charges of drug possession and possession and manufacture of marijuana;
l Lawrence Robert Paysinger, 22, of Arrington. He is charged with drug possession and manufacture and possession of marijuana;
l Phyllis Marie Meredith, 31, of Arrington. She is charged with two counts of brandishing a machete, drug possession along with marijuana possession and manufacture.
Nelson detectives also seized seven grams of crack cocaine, several marijuana plants and drug paraphernalia from the home, according to Brooks.
Pierre Bynum and Meredith are being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail without bond. Ivette Bynum and Paysinger were released on $7,500 bond.
Brooks said more charges are expected.
