Charlottesville commissioner of the revenue to retire

Lee Richards, longtime Charlottesville commissioner of the revenue, will not seek reelection in 2013.

Richards first worked in the city treasurer's office in 1974 and moved to the office of the commissioner of the revenue in 1979.

He has was first elected commissioner of the revenue in 1993.
