 » Anthony Butler of Precision IT Group, LLC has been named director of sales and marketing for the cloud computing network. Butler has more than 20 years of experience in the industry.


 » Shannon Franklin of Crozet has been elected president of the Virginia Optometric Association. In addition to her Crozet practice, Franklin chairs the state’s InfantSEE program in which volunteer doctors of optometry provide free, comprehensive eye examinations for children up to one year of age. Franklin also participates in the American Optometric Association and the Southern Council of Optometrists.


 » Caroline Klosko, a native of Charlottesville, has opened a consumer protection practice at the law firm of Tucker Griffin Barnes. After receiving her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Virginia, Klosko worked as a legal aid attorney in Danville defending consumers wrongly pursued by companies.


 » Hope Payne, a supervisor with Piedmont Court Appointed Special Advocates, has been promoted to program director and will oversee the work of all CASA supervisors. In addition, three new staff members have joined CASA. Kate Fritz has been named supervisor after earning her master’s degree in social services administration from the University of Chicago. Lindsay Jackson is alsojoining the staff as a supervisor after serving as program manager at the Up Center in Norfolk. Vicki Simons joins Piedmont CASA as associate advancement director and brings her public relations and development experience from Piedmont Virginia Community College and the University of Virginia.


 » Woods Rogers PLC announced Nicholas V. Albu has relocated from the firm’s Roanoke office to Charlottesville. Albu will focus on corporate and business law and commercial and civil litigation involving federal and state agencies and local authorities. Albu received his law degree from the Washington and Lee University School of Law.


 » The Thomas Jefferson Partnership for Economic Development has named Rob Stockhausen to its Board. Stockhausen is the managing director of CBRE|Charlottesville, a commercial real estate brokerage.
