Nearly all of Virginia's House representatives vote against 'fiscal cliff' deal

Virginia's congressional delegation was almost universally opposed to the 11th-hour measure averting across-the-board spending reductions while preserving Bush-era tax cuts for millions of Americans.

Of eight Virginia Republicans and three Democrats in the House, only 11th District Rep. Gerry Connelly, D-Fairfax County, voted to pass the "fiscal cliff" deal, approved late Tuesday.
