Greg Fairchild is slated to be the keynote speaker at the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Minority Business Conference on Sept. 16 at the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center in Charlottesville.
Fairchild, a professor of business administration at the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business, teaches strategic management, entrepreneurship and ethics, and is an academic director for Darden’s Institute for Business in Society.
His recent work includes serving as the lead investigator in studying business models and public policy issues in community development finance. The initiative is supported by a three-year, $850,000 grant from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
