A Hanover County man was killed Sunday in a two-vehicle wreck in Louisa County, Virginia State Police said.

David E. Plemen, 53, of Beaverdam, was thrown from his 2005 Harley-Davidson when a 2006 Kia Sorento pulled into its path, authorities said in a news release.

The driver of the Kia, Shannon L. Fields, 40, of Bumpass, was not injured in the wreck, and charges are pending as authorities continue to investigate, police said. Alcohol was not a factor.
