A 27-year-old Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputy suffered non-life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle wreck near the intersection of Routes 20 and 621 in Orange on Saturday, according to the Virginia State Police.

Sgt. Les Tyler said a 1993 Ford Ranger pickup reportedly pulled out from a stop sign on Route 621 and struck Deputy Hoover Dickson’s northbound 2008 Dodge Charger on Route 20 around 7:49 p.m.

Edward Blevins, 33, of Rhoadesville, was charged with failure to yield the right of way. Trooper B.J. Hobbs responded to the crash and issued the summons.

Blevins, his brother, James Blevins, 39, and Dickson were all transported to Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg with non-life-threatening injuries.

An MWH spokeswoman did not return a call seeking their conditions as of press time.
