A Scottsville woman was killed Sunday in a single-vehicle crash on Route 20 in Buckingham County, Virginia State Police said Monday.

Christine E. Coleman, 26, was traveling north at about 11:30 a.m. when her 2000 Subaru hit a guardrail on the right side of the road, careened off the left side of the road and then flipped over and struck a tree. Coleman, who died at the scene, was not wearing a seat belt, according to a news release.

She was the only person in the car, authorities said.

The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
