On April 15, I was being checked out at Harris Teeter in Hollymead Center when I realized I had no credit card or cash. I immediately called my husband to bring my credit card and asked that my order be voided, so I wouldn’t hold up others in line.
The gentleman in the next aisle came over to the cashier and said he was going to pay my bill. I told him that my husband was on the way.
He slid his credit card and said, “Have a nice day.” I asked for his name and address so I could mail a check, and he again said, “Have a nice day.”
My thanks to him for being so thoughtful and generous.
