WAYNESBORO-The driver killed in Thursday night’s shooting on Interstate 64 has been identified by Virginia State Police. Dennis G. Hoke Jr., 42, of Augusta County, died after pulling a handgun and exchanging shots with a state trooper. Hoke had been pulled over after the trooper witnessed what State Police officials described as “erratic” driving, near mile marker 89 in Fishersville.
