More than 300 people turned out on Saturday to hear WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels talk about his wrestling career. The Shawn Michaels Experience, a meet and greet, along with a question and answer session was held at the Louis Spilman Auditorium at Waynesboro High School. Fans came from several states to take part, including some from Connecticut and Ohio.
Michaels spoke about a variety of subjects, ranging from his career in wrestling to his favorite Bible verse. Answering a fan’s question, Michaels said Philippians 4:13 was his favorite, as it states “I can do all things through him who gives me strength.”
The event was organized by Top Rope Wrestling, the latest in a number of events held by the organization this year. In April, Top Rope brought in Michaels’ fellow WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley.
"Seeing so many people have the time of their lives, that's what this is all about," Top Rope president Chris Graham said. "Our thanks to Shawn for giving people an experience that they will never forget."
