Onnie Edward Morris Onnie Edward Morris, 84, of Orange, died on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at his residence. Born on April 20, 1929, in Greene County, he was a son of the late Henry and Hattie Morris. Mr. Morris was also preceded in death by a son, Leighman E. Morris; a brother, Cecil Morris; and a grandson, Anthony D. Morris. He is survived by his wife, Nancy B. Morris of Orange; two daughters, Kathleen M. Shifflett and husband, Manis, of Orange, Wanda F. Morris and fiance, Marshall Prater, of Orange; seven grandchildren, Dallas P. Bell III, Randolph B. Hoffman II, Betty A. Easton, Kendall D. Shifflett, Brandon S. Shifflett, Amber N. Gilley, and Brianna D. Prater; six great-grandchildren, Nicholas L. Bell, Jasmine N. Hoffman, Randolph C. Hoffman, Shane E. L. Easton, Evan M. Easton, and Bryce M. Easton. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2013, from the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Orange, with interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Walter Moon will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013, at the funeral home. Preddy Funeral Home, Orange, is in charge of arrangements.
