Steven Michael Taylor Steven Michael Taylor, 55, of Rural Retreat, Virginia, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013, in Denver, Colorado. He was born to Dolly S. Bradley (Samuel) of Conway, South Carolina, and the late Charles W. Taylor on June 1, 1958. He is survived by three brothers, David Taylor of Afton, Virginia, Tim Taylor of Waynesboro, Virginia, and Tom Taylor of Charlottesville, Virginia; and four sisters, Linda Taylor of Sarasota, Florida, Pat Lawhorne of Afton, Virginia, April Lusk of Midlothian, Virginia, and Nicolle Thompson of Cherry Point, North Carolina. He leaves behind two very special friends who were like brothers, R.C. Trucksess of Gordonsville, Virginia, and David Short of Rural Retreat, Virginia. Steve was a U.S.M.C. Reserves veteran and drove an 18 wheeler for Snowman Reliable Express, which he truly loved to do. A celebration of life will be held at the Wells Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston, Virginia 2 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013. In keeping with Steve's lifestyle and personality, the family requests casual attire.
