A Gordonsville resident died following a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Orange.
According to Sgt. Les Tyler spokesman for the Virginia State Police, the crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. Saturday on Rt. 33 (Spotswood Trail) at the intersection with Route 678.
A 1995 Geo Prism operated by Elizabeth Carole Edelman, 18, of Ruckersville was stopped at a stop sign on Route 678 and pulled out to make a left hand turn to go westbound on Rt. 33 pulling out in front of an eastbound 2008 Victory motorcycle operated by James Harvey Moubray, 56, from Gordonsville. Also on the motorcycle was Moubray's wife, Judy Harlow Moubray, 51, also of Gordonsville. The motorcyle struck the side of the Geo and Judy Moubray died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
The crash was investigated by trooper B.J. Hobbs.
Based on his investigation, Hobbs issued a summons to Elizabeth Edelman for reckless driving.
