Johnny Juzang’s decision is coming.
The coveted guard, who recently announced his intent to reclassify from the class of 2020 to the class of 2019, will make his college decision Friday. Virginia is among his final four teams.
Juzang, a 4-star recruit, per 247sports.com, is a potent shooter off the dribble and has the athleticism to be a strong driver and versatile defender at the Division I level.
In addition to Virginia, he’s considering offers from Kansas, Kentucky and Oregon. The other three programs have been linked — to varying degrees — to the FBI’s college basketball recruiting investigation.
The Studio City, California product is the No. 32 recruit in the nation and the No. 9 small forward in the class.
If he decides on Virginia, he’d join an incoming group that already ranks among Coach Tony Bennett’s best. The group includes 4-star guard Casey Morsell, 4-star center Kadin Shedrick, 3-star forward Justin McKoy and JUCO transfer Tomas Woldetensae, who averaged 17.3 points per game for Indian Hills Community College last season.
Juzang could contribute right away for Virginia, whose top three scorers from last season — guards Kyle Guy, De’Andre Hunter and Ty Jerome — have all declared for the 2019 NBA Draft.
