Former Orange County High School pitcher Bradley Hanner was selected by the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday during the third day of the Major League Baseball Draft.

Minnesota took Hanner, who currently pitches for Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville, in the 21st round with the 629th overall pick.

Hanner, who is a sophomore at Patrick Henry, had a strong 2019 campaign, finishing with a 3.03 ERA. In 12 starts this past season, Hanner compiled a 7-4 record and pitched four complete games. The Orange County native allowed 56 hits and 36 runs while striking out 107 batters in 71.1 innings of work.

During his freshman season at Patrick Henry, Hanner made 12 starts, going 2-2 with a 4.04 ERA. He pitched two complete games and struck out 69 batters in 69 innings pitched.

Hanner was an All Central Virginia first team selection during his senior season at Orange. He also spent time playing for the Charlottesville Tom Sox in the Valley Baseball League.
