The submission deadline for the Charlottesville Mural Project’s latest project is Jan. 31.

The Batten Institute on the University of Virginia Grounds and the Charlottesville Mural Project are seeking local and regional artists to design and create a mural to cover a concave interior wall in the common area of the Batten Institute’s second-floor suite in the Camp Library at the Darden School of Business.

Applications will include a current resume and bio; an artist/collaborative statement of interest, limited to one page, that explains how you’d approach this project; images or links to up to five previous work samples, which must include previous mural work; and an image list.

Find complete submission guidelines at thebridgepai.org.

The Bridge also is seeking artists to participate in the Smart Kids at the Bridge after-school program, which offers paid opportunities to lead students in creative exploration through art.

Many media will be considered, including painting, photography, performance, music, drawing, sculpture and puppets. To learn more, email director@thebridgepai with a resume.
