Charlottesville Opera has begun an organizational restructuring process to replace its executive director model with a general director model. A national search for a general director is under-way.

Kevin O’Halloran is leaving after four years as executive director. During his tenure, Charlottesville Opera marked its 40th season, rebranded and adopted its new name. O’Halloran helped the opera company create 11 mainstage productions, an evening with singer Jay Hunter Morris, a Broadway revue and dozens of events for donors and friends.

An anonymous donor has pledged a $50,000 grant to match all new gifts through Nov. 1, dollar for dollar. For information, email info@charlottesvilleopera.org or call (434) 293-4500.
