Heritage Theatre Festival has announced the cast for its production of Kate Hamill’s farcical reimagining of Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice,” which will open July 12 in the Ruth Caplin Theatre at the University of Virginia.

Estefania Fadul will direct a cast of eight actors who’ll be doubling roles in a fast-paced farce filled with familiar characters.

Look for Shanelle Leonard as Jane/Miss deBourgh, Olivia Abiassi as Lizzy, Ryleigh Tatum as Lydia/Lady Catherine, Terrell Donnell Sledge as Mr. Darcy, Jeremy West as Mr. Collins/Wickham/Miss Bingley, Carol Mazhuvancheril as Mr. Bingley/Mary, Chris Seiler as Charlotte Lucas/Mr. Bennet and Denise Stewart as Mrs. Bennet/Servants.

The creative team will include Yu Shibagaki as Scenic designer, Mika van der Ploeg as costume designer, R. Lee Kennedy as lighting designer, Michael Rasbury as sound designer and Andrew Carluccio as production stage manager.

Single-ticket sales will begin June 5. Season subscriptions already are available online at heritagetheatrefestival.org. Starting Wednesday, both single tickets and season subscriptions will be available from the UVa Arts Box Office in the lobby of the Drama Building on Culbreth Road, online and by phone at (434) 924-3376.
