Mount Grove Spring Revival

Shiloh Baptist Cruise In

Holy Week and Easter Services at Grace Episcopal

Grace Episcopal will have several services during Holy Week. On April 14 at 9:30 a.m. will be Palm Sunday service and April 18 at 7 p.m. will be Maundy Thursday Service. Good Friday services will be on April 19 with Stanardsville United Methodist and Grace Episcopal joining together at noon to walk the Stations of the Cross through the town of Stanardsville and Solemn Good Friday liturgy at 7 p.m. Holy Saturday service on April 20 begins at 9:30 a.m. with a spring cleanup and light lunch following. Easter Sunday service will begin April 21 at 9:30 a.m. followed by an Easter egg hunt in the front yard.

Stanardsville UMC holds special Lenten services

Stanardsville United Methodist Church will have several special Lenten worship services from April 14-21. Palm Sunday Services will be April 14 with contemporary at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday School at 10 a.m. and traditional service at 11 a.m. From Monday, April 15-Friday, April 19 there will be services each day at 12:10 p.m. with Friday, April 19 including the Stations of the Cross. On Thursday, April 18 there will be a 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday service. Also on Friday, April 19 there will be a Good Friday 7 p.m. service. Easter will be celebrated with a sunrise service at 6:45 a.m., followed by a church breakfast at 7:30 a.m.  Contemporary service will be at 8:30 p.m., followed by Sunday school at 10 a.m. and traditional service at 11 a.m. 

Shepherd of the Hills Holy Week schedule

Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church’s Holy Week schedule is as follows:

• April 14: Palm Sunday mass with palm procession at 8:30 a.m. Stations of the Cross will be led by religious education students following the mass.

• April 17: there will be no mass held Wednesday, April 17.

• April 18: Holy Thursday mass at 7 p.m.

• April 19: Good Friday Passion of the Lord service at 4 p.m.

• April 20: Easter vigil mass at 7:30 p.m.

• April 21: Easter Sunday mass at 8:30 a.m.

Evergreen holds spring revival

The first meeting of the Pro Life Group of Greene County will be held on Tuesday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church Hall. Mt. Nebo Lutheran Church holds Easter services

Mt. Nebo Lutheran Church in Rochelle will hold its Easter services as follows: Maundy Thursday service at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, including Holy Communion; and the Resurrection of Our Lord (Easter Sunday) service will be at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 21, which will include Holy Communion. BUMC Maundy Thursday service

Barboursville United Methodist Church will observe the Last Supper at its Holy Thursday service April 18 at 5 p.m. The service will be a remembrance of how Jesus lived out the golden rule on the night he was betrayed and taught his disciples to do others as he had done to them. All are welcome.

South River UMC Easter egg hunt

South River Methodist Church will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20 at 2 p.m. The community is invited to join for fun and fellowship, and asked to bring baskets. Cavalry Chapel’s Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. Sunday, April 21, followed by a breakfast. On Good Friday, April 19, will be a Passover Seder celebration at 6:30 p.m. with dinner following. BUMC Easter service

Antioch Baptist holds cemetery rally day

Antioch Baptist Church in Madison will hold a cemetery rally day on May 5. Morning service will begin at 11 a.m. and lunch will be served following morning service.
