Westover UMC hosts breakfast
Westover United Methodist Church in Ruckersville holds an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8-11 a.m. on Saturday, July 6. There will be pancakes, eggs, sausage, grits, biscuits and gravy, fruit toppings, coffee and more. Cost is $8 for adults and those under 10 are free. Chestnut Grove Baptist hosts Men and Women Day
Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, Barboursville, will celebrate men’s and women’s day Sunday, July 14. The Rev. Owen Johnson, pastor of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Dyke, will be the guest speaker for the 11 a.m. service. The afternoon service will begin at 2:30 p.m. with devotion and the preached word at 3 p.m., delivered by the Rev. Justin House, pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Chesterfield. He will be accompanied by his choir and congregation. Lunch will be served following the morning service.
Legacy hosts sports camp
Legacy Church hosts Sports Camp 2019 at Ruckersville Elementary School from 9:30 a.m. to noon July 15-18. Cost is $20 per child. This event will provide kids currently in kindergarten through fifth grade with a quality experience of high-energy summer fun and training in many different sports, such as basketball, soccer, football, cheer/dance and more.
