Cedar Grove Brethren revival and homecoming
A revival will take place May 29-31 at Cedar Grove Church, with homecoming on Sunday, June 2. Services will start at 7 p.m. with special music. Annual Strawberry Festival scheduled for June 1
Stanardsville United Methodist Church holds its 30th annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 1 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Breakfast is from 7-11 a.m. and lunch is 11 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be several bands and other entertainment, children’s activities, vintage cars and arts and crafts on display. A Celebration of Life Service for Eloise Giles will be held at Grace Episcopal Church at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 8. There will be a reception, provided by the parishioners of Grace Church, in the parish hall immediately following. Some members knit while others crochet, producing not only shawls but hats, scarves, baby blankets and lap robes. All are welcome.
