The Madison County Board of Supervisors held its annual reorganizational meeting last week.

Supervisor Clay Jackson will remain as the board’s chairman while supervisor Charlotte Hoffman will be the vice chairman, a position previously held by supervisor Amber Foster.

The board will continue to meet the second Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. and the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m.

In addition to the regularly scheduled meetings, the board will meet Thursdays, 2-6 p.m. at the fire hall beginning Jan. 16 through March 12. During this time supervisors will work on the fiscal year 2021 budget. A public hearing on the budget is scheduled for April 14 at 7 p.m. with approval expected April 28.

During the organizational meeting, the supervisors approved various county policies. Among them were goals and priorities focusing on economic development, administration, personnel, capital projects and information technology. The policies can be viewed at
