MWP plans to construct a new warehouse in the Town of Madison.
Last week, the board of supervisors approved a site plan for the company to construct a 12,000 square foot warehouse on its existing gravel storage lot. The warehouse will be used to store materials which are currently stored outside. According to engineer Lee Baines, the warehouse will be constructed nex to the store and will have sides with two garage style doors on each end allowing customers to drive in, load materials and then exit. He said there will be no outdoor lighting or plumbing and just under one acre will be disturbed.
“It’s an effort to provide customers with a little better environment to load their vehicles,” he said.
Approval of the site plan was recommended by the planning commission.
Meanwhile, applicants tabled other items that were on last week’s agenda. A special use permit application and site plan request for Bald Top Brewery will be added to the agenda for the Aug. 7 meeting along with a special use permit application by John and Emily Howard to operate a kennel at their Courthouse Mountain home and a special use permit application to allow a public building, restaurant and a private park at Locust Dale.
