DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A man convicted of a double murder outside an Ohio nightclub last year has been sentenced to at least 48 years in prison.

Twenty-six-year-old James Davison, of Miamisburg, was sentenced Tuesday in the Dayton shooting that killed 29-year-old Darion Harris and 28-year-old Ashley James in April 2018.

Messages seeking comment were left for Davison's attorneys.

Authorities in Dayton alleged that Davison left Ricky's Jazz Lab, pulled his vehicle next to a pickup truck and opened fire, fatally wounding the driver and front passenger. Two more people in the back seat weren't hurt.

The shooting was captured on surveillance video that investigators used to identify him.

He was sentenced to life in prison but could be eligible for parole after 48 years.
