An upcoming job fair will focus on area residents 50 and older who are looking for a new career or a post-retirement job.

The 50 & Better Job Fair, sponsored by The Daily Progress and The Center, is free for job seekers and designed specifically for experienced workers.

A range of employers — from local industry to home health care and long-term care facilities — will be in attendance.

The fair will run from 1 to 4 p.m. June 14 at The Center, 491 Hillsdale Drive in Albemarle County.

Kaye Monroe, a certified workforce and business development professional and vocation coach, will speak at 2 p.m.

For employers wishing to participate, several packages are available, with prices ranging from $199 to $399. Fees include table space, refreshments, advertisements in the newspaper, social media announcements and a 30-day posting at Charlottesvillejobnetwork.com.

Interested employers should contact Dirk Poe, classified ad manager at The Progress, at dpoe@dailyprogress.com or (434) 978-3437.
