Nine months after it was purchased by a German-based firm, Tri-Dim Filter Corp. will see more than $1 million in improvements at its Louisa County facility.
The investment will expand the company’s production capability, improve the headquarters and pay for new equipment, officials said.
Tri-Dim is a leading manufacturer and designer of filters used in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems.
The company has seen increased orders in the past 12 months and plans to expand its workforce in Central Virginia, as well improve its facility, officials said.
“With record volumes and increased orders already in 2019, Tri-Dim is looking beyond production equipment and is also adding additional work shifts and actively hiring for new positions,” said Chip Cayce, vice president of operations.
Tri-Dim was acquired in August by global automotive filter manufacturer MANN+HUMMEL.
Tri-Dim began improvement activities at the Louisa location in January. The facility updates and production line upgrades are scheduled to be completed in 2020.
